California Public Policy 2008 Conference

 The Claremont Institute's Center for Local Government will be hosting a California Public Policy 2008 conference on Saturday, May 31, at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California. Topics for discussion include The Budget Crisis and California Taxation; Land Use, Redevelopment, and Property Rights; Federalism and Decentralization; The California Economy: What Can Be Done?; and Major Issues Facing California Today.  Seating is limited, so attendance is by invitation only. First Principles and Public Policy Symposium

The Claremont Institute and the Heritage Foundation are hosting a one day symposium on Tuesday, May 20, at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) De Neve Plaza and Bradley Hall. This seminar will offer students, local leaders, and friends of the Claremont Institute an opportunity to see how America's first principles hold the answers to today's toughest policy challenges. Panelists include Charles R. Kesler, Editor of the Claremont Review of Books, and John C. Eastman, Dean of Chapman Law and Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute.
