Freedom of Speech and Association: All individuals have the right to speak, assemble, and organize to pursue common ends in accordance with their beliefs. At the heart of this freedom is the right to political speech and the right to challenge impermissible campaign finance laws that restrict it.
Property Rights: Government at all levels must respect individuals right to possess and use their property free of government interference or threat of taking.
Freedom of Contract: Individuals have the right to form and enter into contracts without government interference. This includes protection against overregulation of business or private activities.
Second Amendment: Individuals have the right to purchase, possess, and use firearms for legitimate purposes.
Limited Government: Government at all levels must operate within the limitations prescribed by the Constitution.
Federalism: The national government as well as state governments must operate within their proper roles under the Constitution.
Separation of Powers: The executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government have unique duties and responsibilities and may not exercise the powers granted to another branch. The federal bureaucracy is part of the executive branch and may not act as a shadow legislature or court.
Virtue and Morality: The role of traditional family morals in our culture must be protected. This includes protecting states’ power to protect traditional marriage and guard against indecency.
Right to Life: All human beings have an unalienable right to life and must be protected from harm, whether in infancy or old age.
All Are Created Equal: The right of every human being to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness must be protected without respect to race, ethnicity, or other arbitrary distinctions.
