Dr. John C. Eastman is the Founding Director of the Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, the public interest law firm affiliated with the Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy.

Dr. Eastman earned his Ph.D. in Government from the Claremont Graduate School and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.

Dr. Eastman is the Henry Salvatori Professor of Law & Community Service at Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where he specializes in Constitutional Law and Legal History. He also served as Dean of the Law School from 2007 until 2010, when he stepped down to pursue a campaign for California Attorney General.
