James Q. Wilson

1931-2012 

James Q. Wilson taught at Harvard, UCLA, and Pepperdine before finishing his career as a senior fellow at Boston College's Clough Center for the Study of Constitutional Democracy. Throughout his career, Wilson received both the James Madison Award for distinguished scholarship and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Political Science Association. President George W. Bush recognized his scholarship in 2003 by honoring him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

James Q. Wilson was a regular contributor to the Claremont Review of Books and to the Claremont Institute's annual APSA panels.
