Arthur Waldron is the Lauder Professor of International Relations in the History Department at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently assisting the general editor, Professor Stuart Schram, in preparing Mao Zedong's Civil War writings for publication in the series Mao's Road to Power, sponsored by Harvard University.
