Harry V. JaffaProfessor Harry Jaffa has spent a lifetime understanding the human condition and the good that all humans seek. He is a teacher of the highest things — of the things most needful for us today, and for man simply. He is the teacher of the Claremont Institute. It was four of Jaffa's students who founded the Claremont Institute in 1979 with a view to teaching their fellow citizens the important lessons they had learned from Jaffa in the classroom.

The Claremont Institute is proud to reprint six of Professor Jaffa's books that have been out of print for some time. (Two of the books are still forthcoming.) These books include subjects as diverse as classical and modern political philosophy, Shakespeare, the Bible, Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, the American Founding, Abraham Lincoln, and the decline of the American university and American politics. In each, we are confident that readers will find an inexhaustible source of wisdom, and an unparalleled diagnosis of the moral and political problems we face today. All books are printed in handsome blue hardback, and available for $14.95.
