The Claremont Institute is looking for an entry-level, full-time editorial assistant.  He or she must have excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills, and either be adept with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop for Mac, or willing to learn quickly on the job.  We are looking for someone who has the energy, imagination, and judgment to enhance our publications and our website.

The new hire would work closely with the staff of the Institute's premier publication, the Claremont Review of Books, assisting with all features of the daily production of this journal, including layout.  He or she would be the chief contact for the various publishing houses that provide review copies and for the CRB's printer, distributor, and advertisers.

The new hire would also work on other Claremont Institute publications and oversee our homepage, www.claremont.org, formatting and posting articles, sending out web-based announcements, and serving as the main contact for any website-related difficulties.

Salary commensurate with experience.  If interested, please send your resume to John Kienker, Managing Editor, Claremont Review of Books, 937 W. Foothill Blvd., Suite E, Claremont, CA 91711.
