Amanda Callanan is Director of Communications at the Claremont Institute, where she focuses on raising the Institute’s profile in Washington, DC and elsewhere and advancing its mission to apply the principles of the American Founding to today’s public discourse.

Ms. Callanan spent the past eight years in the communications field—including digital and broadcast development for The Heritage Foundation, public relations for Fortune 500 clients at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, corporate branding and strategy with a boutique agency in Baltimore, and direct-response marketing for the National Association of Corporate Directors’ educational events and programs.

Amanda earned her B.A., with honors, from Loyola University in Maryland, where she studied Political Science with Dr. Diana Schaub and minored in Jazz Composition, which laid the groundwork for her favorite pastime: songwriting.
