Jaffa Attends White House Lincoln Commemoration

Distinguished Fellow Harry V. Jaffa, author of Crisis of the House Divided and A New Birth of Freedom, has been asked to become a member of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission's Advisory Committee, created by the 106th Congress.

He will be meeting at the White House on Monday, September 23, with other members. President Bush is scheduled to attend.

The official task of the Committee is to determine appropriate national celebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth on February 12, 2009.
